A To-Do List for the Vice President

In this video message, Congressman John Boehner welcomes Vice President Biden to Cincinnati, reminding the vice president that Washington could learn a lot from the Republican economic solutions that are working in Ohio.

Boehner also asks the vice president to call on his party to work with House Republicans on dozens of House-passed jobs bills that would do things like expand energy production and rein in government red tape.

Let me take this opportunity to welcome the Vice President to Cincinnati. 

A quick to-do list for him:

#1: Talk to some of our employers and local leaders about the turnaround we’re seeing in Ohio.  Our state is a model for what we can accomplish when we lower taxes, balance the budget, and fix our education system. We should be doing this in Washington, DC, too.  We should be getting our government out of the way. 

That’s why #2 is: call on his party to work with us to address unemployment and make a real difference for working families.  Let’s work together on expanding energy production, reining in red tape, and lowering health care costs.

And #3: Be smart, Mr. Vice President, and make a stop for some of our famous chili.
