Congressional District 9’s 2014 Congressional Art Competition
Student Guidelines for the Art Competition
First Thing to Do: Let your art teacher know that you are interested in participating in the competition and get to work!
Artwork Dimensions: Artwork must be 2-dimensional and no larger than 28”x28”4”, including the frame. Artwork must not weigh more than 15 pounds and all work must be ready to hang on the wall—no exceptions!

Awards
Best in Show: The piece judged as “Best in Show” will hang in the U.S. Capitol for 1 year. The Best in Show artist will travel to D.C. for a reception with all the “Best in Show” artists from the U.S.
Best in Show Runner-Up: The piece judged as “Best in Show Runner-Up” will hang in Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema’s District Office for 6 months.
1st 2nd 3rd Place and 2 Honorable Mentions in all categories will be determined.
Deadlines: You must complete the registration form by Tuesday April 1.
Collecting Artwork: Artwork will be picked up from your high school during the week of April 7.
Reception and Awards Presentation:
Saturday April 12, 2014, 1:00PM to 2:30PM
