Hagan to Present Medals to Korean War Veteran

Greensboro, NC – U.S. Senator Kay Hagan will join Lieutenant Colonel Mary Ann Neely on Friday, Nov. 8 at 12:30pm in presenting Army Sergeant Bobby Shook, a veteran of the Korean War, with four medals. Shook served with the U.S. Army 7th Division, 32nd Infantry and fought during the Battle of Triangle Hill in 1952, which became known as the bloodiest 42 days of the Korean war. Senator Hagan’s office worked to secure the medals and make sure Sergeant Shook’s contributions to our country were properly honored. The event will take place at the Greensboro Army Reserve Center.
 
At the ceremony Army Sergeant Shook will be presented the following medals:



  • Korean Service Medal w/1 Bronze Star

  • United Nations Service Medal

  • Combat Infantry Badge 1st Award

  • National Defense Service Medal
