"Last night, the House successfully passed the Cut, Cap and Balance Act which I was pleased to co-sponsor. The Cut, Cap and Balance Act is a constitutional, permanent solution to put an end to the spending-driven debt crisis and save our children and grandchildren from a bankrupt future. We must get our financial house in order and this bill will require Washington to balance its budget, just as families across the country do each and every day. If the President and leaders in the Senate are serious about balancing our budget and ending this debt crisis, they will allow this legislation to come to the floor for a vote and be signed into law."
