Ellmers Joins House Leadership, Calling on Senate to Vote on House-Passed Jobs Bills

WASHINGTON – Small Business Subcommittee Chairwoman Renee Ellmers released the following statement from her office in Washington this morning:

On Jobs and the Economy:

"As last month's unemployment numbers clearly show, our free enterprise system continues to suffer under the job-destroying policies of President Obama. For three and a half years, we have seen this Administration cast blame on the problems they inherited while creating further obstructions to job growth and prosperity for all Americans."

"Here in the House, we will not rest until pro-growth, free market solutions are embraced and signed into law. We have passed over 30 job-creating bills that languish in the Senate as Democrats refuse to do their job and fight for the American people. As public servants, we must have the courage to act, and I will continue to do so each day if that means more jobs and the protection of our free market system for tomorrow."

On the Upcoming Obamacare Supreme Court Decision:

"Tomorrow we will hear from the Supreme Court and their ruling on President Obama's healthcare law. I am confident that the glaring violations to the Constitution within this law will be struck down. Ultimately, the real solution to this will come through a full repeal of this reckless law and replacing it with patient-centered solutions that will provide fiscal responsibility to the problems facing our healthcare industry."

This morning, Congresswoman Ellmers joined Speaker Boehner, Leader Cantor, and Republican Leadership to speak to reporters about the Republican plan for jobs and the upcoming Supreme Court decision on Obamacare. Later today, her office will be sending out information regarding her availability for interviews following the Supreme Court's announcement.
