Congresswomen answer questions, address crowd
May 3 2011
By Pam Rigaux, Frederick News-Post
Republican Congresswoman Renee Ellmers said health care was the reason she ran against a seven-term Democratic incumbent.
Bolstered by the tea party movement, Ellmers, a nurse, voted to repeal President Barack Obama's health care overhaul after she won the 2nd district North Carolina seat in the November 2010 elections.
Ellmers and Republican Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler were the keynote speakers at the Republican Central Committee of Frederick County's Lincoln-Reagan Day Dinner Monday night.
