"The unprovoked attacks this week on towns throughout Israel highlight the real dangers facing the region from the terrorist group Hamas. This violence is unjustified and is causing the people of Israel to live in a constant state of fear as they try to peacefully go about their daily lives. The United States has and will continue to remain a strong ally and dear friend of Israel and its people. We must stand with Israel and support their actions to bring about peace while protecting their people from danger."
