Committee Assignments

Congressman Miller is the Vice Chairman of the House Committee on Financial Services, which has jurisdiction over the U.S. banking system, housing, insurance, monetary policy, international finance, and international monetary organizations. In addition to his responsibilities as Vice Chairman of the Committee, he is a member of the Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit Subcommittee and the Insurance and Housing Subcommittee.

Congressman Miller is also a senior member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure which oversees all forms of transportation, including aviation, highways, mass transit, and maritime transportation. The Committee also has jurisdiction over other aspects of our nation’s infrastructure from clean water and waste water management to disaster preparedness and the transport of hazardous materials. Congressman Miller currently sits on the Highways and Transit; Railroads, Pipelines and Hazardous Materials; and Water Resources and Environment subcommittees.
