Congressman Blake Farenthold Commemorates Veterans Day
Corpus Christi, TX – In commemoration of Veterans Day, Congressman Blake Farenthold (R-TX) will attend and speak at a number of events, with highlights including the USS Lexington Veterans Day Ceremony, and the Ride Texas Warriors on Wheels event Tuesday evening.
During the 113th Congress alone (2013-2014), Congressman Farenthold voted in favor of more than 100 bills that help improve the services and benefits to our veterans, and has been an outspoken advocate on reforming the current Veterans Affairs Administration.
“Our veterans deserve our highest level of respect and gratitude for their service. I consider it an honor to represent them. The Recent problems with the VA are a national disgrace. I am hopeful that VA Secretary Robert McDonald’s reforms and restructuring are successful.” Farenthold stated.
Farenthold continued, “On Wednesday, I return to Washington, D.C. to continue working hard to ensure our veterans receive the care, service, and benefits we promised. Veterans have risked their lives for our freedom and it is our duty to keep our promises to them.
