Congressional Art Competition

Every year, each Member of Congress hosts an art contest to feature the artwork of students
throughout the district. This competition allows Members to showcase the artistic talents of
students and encourages them to pursue their interest in the field of the fine arts.

Each year prior to the Congressional Art Competition, Congressman Thompson hosts the Annual Second Congressional District Artistic Discovery Art Competition (District Art Competition), where students from schools all over the District come to compete for a chance to represent Mississippi’s Second Congressional District in Washington, DC.
