Thank you for visiting the Central Coast’s Faces of the Fallen page and for taking the time to honor our fallen heroes. The Central Coast has a rich military tradition as the home to the former Fort Ord, Presidio of Monterey, Fort Hunter Liggett, the Naval Postgraduate School, the Defense Language Institute and many other Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security installations around the Monterey Bay. Many residents of the Central Coast are currently in the military, are a veteran, or has an immediate family member who is in the military or is a veteran. In California, we are proud of the brave men and women who serve our nation in uniform. As your Congressman, I believe it is our duty to honor our fallen heroes.

Below are photos of Central Coast servicemembers who have died in U.S. combat operations since 2001, making the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country. The sacrifice of all of America's fallen heroes, throughout our nation's great history, will never be forgotten. My prayers are with the families and loved ones these men and women left behind.
