Commerce Committee Announces Hearing on the Future of Passenger Rail

WASHINGTON, D.C.— The U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation’s Subcommittee on Surface Transportation and Merchant Marine Infrastructure, Safety, and Security will hold a hearing on Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at 2:30 p.m. titled, “Passenger Rail: Investing in our Nation’s Future.” This hearing will focus on the current state of intercity passenger rail in the United States, the need to invest for future growth, and implications for future legislative action. Senator Richard Blumenthal will chair.
