The codel to McAllen. Tex., left Thursday night for a 24-hour stay. The trip, led by Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii), includes Sens. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) and Reps. Lucille Roybal-Allard (D-Calif.), Joaquin Castro (D-Tex.), Judy Chu (D-Calif.), Jared Polis (D-Colo.) and Al Green (D-Tex.).
