Motorsports’ Economic Impact Recognized at Capitol

Washington, D.C.- U.S. Congressman Mike McIntyre welcomes six-time Sprint Cup champion Jimmie Johnson to the Capitol for the inaugural meeting of the Congressional Motor Sports Caucus. NASCAR drivers Danica Patrick and Kurt Busch were on hand to join Members of Congress in promoting the economic impact of the motorsports industry in North Carolina and across the country. Stock Car racing, which originated in North Carolina, now sustains more than 25,000 jobs and has an economic impact of over $6 billion in the state.
