WASHINGTON (July 23) -- The Reform Task Force of
the National Bipartisan Commission on the Future of Medicare will meet on Tuesday, July
28, 2:00 - 3:30 p.m., Room H-137, U.S. Capitol, in Washington, D.C., Sen. John Breaux
(D-La.) and Rep. Bill Thomas (R-Calif.) announced today. The task force meeting is open
to the public, and members will discuss Medicare payment methods and alternatives.
The 17-members of the national Commission established three task forces -- Modeling,
Reform, and Restructuring -- to study various aspects of Medicare. The task forces will
make presentations later to the full Commission about their findings and analyses.
The Reform Task Force is looking for innovative solutions to improve
the current Medicare program. It will meet:
