Statement by the Commission Chairmen Regarding Congressman Greg Ganske's Resignation From the Medicare Commission

Senator John Breaux (D-La.) and Congressman Bill Thomas (R-Calif.) issued the following statement today following the resignation of Congressman Greg Ganske (R-Iowa) from the National Bipartisan Commission on the Future of Medicare.

"We appreciated Congressman Ganske's contributions to the Commission's work, and we will miss his involvement. The law provides that the Speaker of the House of Representatives appoint another member within 30 days to fill Mr. Ganske's seat and to continue the Commission's work. We look forward to working with the new Commission member who is expected to be named shortly."
