Washington

Washington County is a county located in the Mississippi Delta region of the U.S. state of Mississippi. As of 2010, the population was 51,137. It is named in honor of the first President of the United States,George Washington. Its county seat is Greenville. The Greenville Micropolitan Statistical Area includes all of Washington County.According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 761 square miles of which, 724 square miles of it is land and 37 square miles of it is water.
