Education

Our public schools should be able to provide our children with a quality education that allows them to be successful in life. While funding for public education is primary the job of state and local government, support from the federal government has increased significantly in recent years. Unfortunately, this increase in funding has resulted in increased federal control of our public education system.

I believe that when it comes to our children’s education, decisions should be made by parents, teachers, and school board members – not Washington bureaucrats. Parents ought to have a choice for how they can improve the quality of education their kids receive. As a parent, I want to ensure that parents have the flexibility to choose the school that they feel is best for their child.
