  • West Frankfort receives $6.4 million grant

    Congressman Bill Enyart joined other elected officials and public administrators at West Frankfort City Hall on Monday to officially announce the city’s receipt of $6,415,688 in Federal Emergency Management funds through the Illinois Emergency Management Agency’s State-Local Hazard Mitigation Grant Program.

    U.S. Reps. John Shimkus of the 15th District and Bill Enyart of the 12th District are accepting applications for the U.S. military academies. High school seniors, college students and anyone else interested should apply now for summer 2015 admission.

Now is the time for action on VA care facilities, for action on expanded health care options, and for action on health care infrastructure.”

    Federal grants were presented to Sesser Police Department and the YouthBuild program in Mount Vernon. During a visit to Southern Illinois, Bill Enyart, D-Belleville, presented the funds at he United Methodist Children's Home in Mount Vernon and Sesser City Hall.
