THOMPSON INVITES THE ANOINTED BODIES OF CHRIST TO PERFORM DURING THE CONGRESSIONAL BLACK CAUCUS FOUNDATION’S ANNUAL LEGISLATIVE CONFERENCE GOSPEL EXTRAVAGANZA IN WASHINGTON

WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Congressman Bennie G. Thompson (MS-02) announced that he has invited the Anointed Bodies of Christ (ABoC) of Jackson, Mississippi to perform with choirs from across the country, during the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s 44rd Annual Legislative Conference - Gospel Extravaganza. The event will be held on September 25, 2014, at 8:00p.m. The choir’s performance will also feature guest soloist, Erica Davis of Natchez, Mississippi.
 
“I am pleased to have the Anointed Bodies of Christ (ABoC) join me for this year’s Gospel Extravaganza. I am always excited to showcase the talent we have in the Second Congressional District. The Mississippi choir is always a special treat for our audience. I look forward to another outstanding performance this year from ABoC and look forward to their arrival,” said Congressman Thompson.
 
The Anointed Bodies of Christ (ABoC) is a dynamic gospel choir from the great state of Mississippi. The choir was organized in 2008 as a Mississippi youth ministry and performed during regional conferences, summits, local churches and other events. The choir consists of members from the Jackson, Mississippi, the Mississippi Delta, as well as its founder’s birthplace, Soso, Mississippi. ABoC’s members are from various denominations and backgrounds using their God given musical talents to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. Among ABoC’s recent accomplishments is their New CD release entitled “Now Is the Time.”
