THOMPSON MAKES DONATION TO MID-SOUTH FOOD BANK

WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Congressman Bennie G. Thompson (MS-02) issued the following statement regarding Tyson Foods, Inc. donation to the Mid-South Food Bank:

"Today, we were able to donate over 30,000 pounds of food to help feed Mississippians. I am proud of Tyson's commitment to the underserved and underrepresented communities of Mississippi. I look forward to Tyson's continued investment in the Second Congressional District and their continued service to our area and their efforts to address hunger," said Congressman Thompson.

Tyson's donation today is their third consecutive demonstration of their philanthropic commitment to North Mississippi and the Mid-South Food Bank. This donation is a part of Tyson's “KNOW Hunger” campaign focused on helping more people understand and join the effort to eliminate hunger in America. The Mid-South Food Bank fights hunger through the efficient collection and distribution of wholesome food, and through education and advocacy. Congressman Thompson is a proud supporter of Tyson Food, Inc. and the Mid-South Food Bank.
