Thompson Hosts Greenville Councilman Errick Simmons During State of the Union Address

WASHINGTON, DC – Tonight, Congressman Bennie G. Thompson (MS-02) will be joined by Greenville City Councilman Errick Simmons, during President Barak Obama’s State of the Union address.

“I am pleased to have Councilman Simmons join me tonight as President Obama details his vision to strengthen our country and develop our economy,” said Congressman Thompson.

Tonight, January 28, 2014, at 8:00 p.m. CST, President Barak Obama will deliver the annual State of the Union address. Members of Congress have invited guests to view the address as the President discusses his plan to approve a wide variety of issues affecting the United States.  

“I am thankful for the opportunity to join the Congressman for the State of the Union address tonight. I have always been a strong supporter of President Obama and have yet to forget his visit to Greenville, Mississippi in 2008. I look forward to the President’s remarks and will continue to build relationships and seek assistance for the great people of Greenville,” said Councilman Simmons.
