THOMPSON WELCOMES MS. DELORES WILLIAMS OF GRENADA, MISSISSIPPI TO THE NATION’S CAPITOL


Washington, DC – U.S. Representative Bennie G. Thompson (MS-02) is proud to announce that Ms. Delores Williams of Grenada, Mississippi will perform at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s 42nd Annual Legislative Conference’s Gospel Extravaganza in Washington, DC.

The Gospel Extravaganza will take place, Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the United House of Prayer for All People, 601 M Street, NW Washington, DC 20001 at 8:00 pm. Doors will open at 7:30 pm.

Mrs. Williams is a member of the Greater Pine Hill Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Charles Maben in Grenada, Mississippi. Delores Kay Hardiman Williams is the widow of the late Mr. Harl C. Williams and is the mother of seven children.

While in Washington, Ms. Williams will meet Congressman Bennie G. Thompson, tour the White House, the United States Capitol, and visit the memorial of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., whom she sang for in August of 1966.
                                                     

Thompson offered the following about Ms. Williams, "I am proud to welcome Ms. Williams to the Nation’s Capitol and wish her well as she represents Mississippi during this year’s Annual Legislative Conference.”
