CONGRESSMAN THOMPSON ANNOUNCES $228,380 AWARDED TO THE CITY OF CARTHAGE AND COUNTY OF LEAKE
BOLTON, MISSISSIPPI – Today, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) announced The United States Department of Transportation has awarded $228,380 to the City of Carthage and County of Leake to improve the airport’s drainage.
This grant will provide federal funding for the Carthage-Leake County Airport in Mississippi. The drainage improvements are necessary to adequately handle storm water runoff. Carthage-Leake County Airport is a general aviation airport associated with Carthage, Mississippi.
