CONGRESSMAN THOMPSON ANNOUNCES $297,000 AWARDED TO THE JACKSON MUNICIPAL AIRPORT AUTHORITY AND THE CITY OF JACKSON
BOLTON, MISSISSIPPI – Today, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) announced The United States Department of Transportation has awarded $297,000 to the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority and City of Jackson to rehabilitate the runway.
This grant will provide federal funding for the Hawkins Field Airport in Mississippi. This project will rehabilitate the existing runway pavement that has reached the end of its useful life. Hawkins Field Airport is a general aviation airport associated with Jackson, Mississippi.
