CONGRESSMAN THOMPSON ANNOUNCES $76,500 AWARDED TO THE CITY OF LEXINGTON

BOLTON, MISSISSIPPI – Today, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) announced The United States Department of Transportation has awarded a $76,500 grant through the Federal Aviation Administration to the City of Lexington to acquire miscellaneous land.

This grant will provide federal funding for the C. A. Moore Airport in Mississippi. The land acquisition is necessary to repair erosion and relocate sections of perimeter fence to deter wildlife from entering the airfield.
