CONGRESSMAN THOMPSON ANNOUNCES $400,000 AWARDED TO THE MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

BOLTON, MISSISSIPPI – Today, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) announced The United States Department of Transportation has awarded a $400,000 grant through the Federal Aviation Administration to the Mississippi Department of Transportation to Update the State’s System Plan Study.

This grant will provide federal funding to the State of Mississippi. The update of the state system plan will lead to more effective use of airport resources in developing and maintaining an efficient network of airports in Mississippi. The study will determine the economic impact that aviation has on the state of Mississippi.
