Congressman Thompson ANNOUNCES Economic Impact Initiative Grant Funds AWARDED to the Mississippi Second CONGRESSIONAL District

BOLTON, MISSISSIPPI – Today, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) announced The United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development has awarded Economic Impact Initiative Grants to the Mississippi Second Congressional District.

The Rural Development funds will be used for various community improvements such as:

-The Town of Ethel will receive $12,375 to purchase a rotary cutter for town maintenance. For more information contact Mayor Ophelia Mitchell at 662-674-5222.

-The Montgomery County Board of Supervisors will receive $42,513 to purchase a law enforcement vehicle. For more information contact Mr. Nelson Forrest at 662-   283-2233.

-Mississippi Delta Community College will receive $17,294 to purchase medical laboratory equipment and $40,927 to purchase dental hygiene equipment.
