Congressman Thompson ANNOUNCES $142,880 awarded to Jackson State University

BOLTON, MISSISSIPPI – Today, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) announced The United States Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration (EDA) has awarded $142,880 in investment funds to Jackson State University.

This EDA investment funds the third year of a three- year University Center at Jackson State University. The program provides technical assistance and research and development tools to increase productivity, spur innovation, and promote entrepreneurship to help increase long-term regional competitiveness and economic diversification.

EDA's University Center program is a competitively-based partnership between EDA and academic institutions that makes the varied and vast resources of universities available to the economic development practitioner community.
