Thompson to Survey Areas Impacted by Flood, Host Briefing for Local Farmers


Bolton, Mississippi—On Thursday, May 19, 2011, Congressman Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) will survey areas impacted by the flood via helicopter with United States Department of Agriculture Under Secretary for Rural Development Dallas Tonsager and USDA Under Secretary Farm & Foreign Agricultural Services Michael Scuse.  The tour will begin in Jackson, Mississippi and proceed north through the affected area to Tunica, Mississippi.  After landing at Tunica Airport, the Congressman will host a briefing for local farmers.  Further information regarding the briefing can be found below.
