Congressman Bennie G. Thompson Announces Congressional Art Competition Winners
Greenville, MS – Today, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) announced winners of the Second Congressional “Artistic Discovery” Art Competition.
There were 13 schools that participated and 208 pieces of artwork. Now that’s something we all can be proud of! This year the 1st Place winner was Megan White of Clinton High School. I would like to extend my congratulations to Megan and the Clinton High School Art Program for placing number 1 in this year’s competition.
The 1st Place winner along with one other person will receive round trip accommodations to Washington, D. C. in June to compete with the other Congressional District winners. In addition, her entry will be displayed in the Cannon Tunnel for the period of one year.
The other winners are as follow:
2nd Place- Brennan Crosby- Clinton High School
3rd Place – Bria Ragsdale - Clinton High School
Honorable Mention- Caroline Hudson- Noet-Power APAC
Honorable Mention- Donteus Hubbard- Power APAC
Honorable Mention- Nicholas Ross- Amanda Elzy
