NEW HAVEN, CT—On Tax Day 2014, Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-3) announced her office saved or recovered $5,092,390 for Third District residents in 2013. Among the areas where DeLauro and her staff assisted constituents was Social Security, Veterans Affairs benefits, flood insurance payments, pension payments and IRS refunds.

“From Stratford to Guilford, from Middletown to Waterbury, everyone needs help navigating the federal government. The most important part of my job is helping people and advocating for the people of Connecticut’s Third Congressional District. I am honored that my office can play a role in helping people recover and save money that is rightfully theirs.”

The aforementioned monetary awards are in addition to the other areas where DeLauro provides services, such as with mortgage disputes, passports or immigration issues. They are also in addition to federal grants and contracts that Connecticut businesses, non-profits, cities and towns compete for. DeLauro routinely advocates for them in such endeavors.

Any Third District resident who needs assistance with a federal government agency should contact DeLauro’s New Haven office at 203-562-3718 or via her website here.
