The First Congressional District is arguably the most diverse region of Connecticut. Centered around Connecticut’s Capitol City, the first district includes twenty seven cities and towns in Hartford, Litchfield, and Middlesex Counties with over 700,000 residents.

No matter where you travel in the First District you’re guaranteed to witness a piece of New England history. The first three towns established in Connecticut reside in the First District, providing a look into the history of our state and nation.
