Senate Committee on Armed Services Announces Sen. Blumenthal to Assume Chairmanship of AirLand Subcommittee
WASHINGTON — Senators Carl Levin (D-Mich.) and James M. Inhofe (R-Okla.), chairman and ranking member of the Senate Committee on Armed Services, today announced a change in the chairmanship of the AirLand subcommittee for the 113th Congress.
Effective March 28, Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) will assume responsibility as the chairman of the AirLand Subcommittee, replacing Senator Joe Manchin III (D-W Va.), who will give up his subcommittee chairman position in accordance with Senate Democratic Conference rules.
