Thank you for your interest in a service academy nomination. In order to ensure all nomination applications are complete, please make sure to follow ALL directions when submitting your application.
Transcripts, attendance/disciplinary records and recommendation letters MUST be delivered in a sealed envelope signed across the back by the counselor or individual making the recommendation.
Please do not place application or materials in a binder.
All packet materials must be delivered to our Roswell District Office no later than 5:00 p.m. on October 3, 2014, to be considered for a nomination.
Each year, Rep. Price nominates individuals from the Sixth District of Georgia to attend one of our nation's service academies.
There are five (5) service academies that offer appointments to highly qualified individuals who meet eligibility requirements and are the most competitive in academic performance, physical fitness, medical standards, extracurricular involvement, leadership traits, motivation and aptitude for military service. All service academies, other than the United States Coast Guard Academy, require a nomination from a qualified nominating source in addition to meeting the individual eligibility and entrance requirements for each respective academy.

General Qualifications Required for Nomination Appointment to a Service Academy:
• You must be a United States Citizen
• You must be a legal resident of the Sixth Congressional District of Georgia.
• You must be 17, but not yet pass your 23rd birthday on July 1 of the year admitted.
• You must be unmarried, not pregnant, and have no legal obligation to support children.
• You must have an above average high school or college academic record, and strong performance on the SAT or ACT examinations.
• You must be able to pass academy physical requirements and DoDMERB medical examination.
• You must be of strong moral character.
Applying to my Office for a Nomination:
We will begin receiving Applications for a Service Academy Nomination to the Class of 2018 on Monday, June 2, 2014. All completed applications must be in the District Office no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2014. You may apply to my office for a nomination to all service academies for which you have an interest; however, you will only be interviewed for academies to which you have an active application. Please click on the application below to download the application instructions and form. All of the information requested is required in order for your application package to be complete. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS OR APPLICATION PACKAGES RECEIVED AFTER October 3, 2014 WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
Please mail complete application packages to my District Office only. Mail sent to our Washington office is delayed and may result in your packet not being received on time.
