Roskam Hails Passage of US-Israel Strategic Partnership Act

WASHINGTON, DC–Today, Congressman Peter Roskam (IL-06), co-chair of the House Republican Israel Caucus, released the following statement on House passage of S. 2673, the United States-Israel Strategic Partnership Act:

"The past year of turmoil in the Middle East—from the rise of ISIS to Iran's continued march towards nuclear weapons—highlights the importance of a strong U.S.-Israel relationship. Today the House acted to advance this relationship by designating Israel as a “major strategic partner” of the United States. This bipartisan bill will enhance the mutually beneficial military, economic, and energy ties between our two nations and ensure that the United States continues to help Israel defend itself. I remain committed to strengthening our partnership with Israel because it serves the direct interest of U.S. national security and the American people.”
