Graves Seeks Applicants for Service Academy Nominations

WASHINGTON, D.C.– U.S. Representative Sam Graves (MO-06) today issued a call for talented students who are interested in being nominated to a United States service academy.

“The service academies offer a unique and rewarding experience,” Congressman Graves said.  “I encourage anyone who has an interest in attending a service academy to contact my office.”

Congressman Graves is accepting applications for the following academies:

United States Military Academy, West Point, New York
United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, Maryland
United States Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, New York
United States Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Each applicant must be a legal resident of the Sixth Congressional District.  Students must be at least 17 years of age, and no more than 23 as of July 1, 2015.  Interviews will be held this November, and nominees will be announced in January of 2015.  All application materials are due to Congressman Graves’ office by October 17, 2014.
