"While honoring those who fought and died during the D-Day invasion in France 70 years ago, I felt compelled to honor our brave WWII veterans from the Rio Grande Valley. As time passes, we are losing so many of our WWII Veterans and my hope is to remind the younger generation of the sacrifices that were made by these heroes who are from what we call the "Greatest Generation."
