West Palm Beach, FL – Congresswoman Lois Frankel issued the following statement after the Department of Veterans Affairs announced that veterans who have treatment delays of 30 days or more will have the option to seek private care. 

"Expanding veteran care to private providers in order to prevent delays in treatment is a step in the right direction. Our returning heroes deserve the very best in health care without long waits for attention," Frankel said.

Washington, DC – Congresswoman Lois Frankel (FL-22) released the following statement rebuking the Florida bill – HB 1047 – which would greatly intervene in a woman’s ability to make her own personal health care decisions. She urged a veto from Gov. Rick Scott on the bill, and stressed the importance of her own legislation – The Women’s Health Protection Act – which would thwart the ability for states to pass such restrictive - and ideological - measures affecting access to legal abortions.
