Congressman Dan Kildee hosting college affordability forums in Flint, Saginaw September 21, 2014

U.S. Rep. Dan Kildee, D-Flint Township, is hosting a set of smart borrowing forums this week including a stop in Flint on student loans and college affordability.

The Flint forum has been scheduled from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24 at the Northbank Center Ballroom, 432 N. Saginaw St., and will focus on helping students find their path on paying for college.

The free event is open to prospective, current and former college students and will provide information on state and federal loan repayment programs as well as face-to-face time with officials from local universities, U.S. Department of Education and Michigan Works. 

A forum has also been set from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23 at the Rhea Miller Recital Hall, 7400 Bay Road, on the campus of Saginaw Valley State University.
