Rahall Announces New Air Service and Jobs at Raleigh County Airport

At the Raleigh County Memorial Airport on Thursday, U.S. Rep. Nick J. Rahall (D-W.Va.), the top Democrat on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, announced new air service provided by “Via Air” between Beckley and Charlotte. Rahall also announced that Via Air is planning to locate an aviation maintenance facility at the airport, which will create up to 50 jobs.

Today, at a manufacturing roundtable in Huntington, U.S. Rep. Nick J. Rahall (D-W.Va.) was presented the National Association of Manufacturers’ (NAM) Legislative Excellence Award for his support of American manufacturing. Rahall was honored for supporting policies that enable manufacturers in the United States to create jobs, compete globally, and improve living standards for manufacturing workers.

Rahall Announces Federal Funding for W.Va. Public Broadcasting

U.S. Rep. Nick Rahall (D-W.Va.) Wednesday announced the West Virginia Educational Broadcasting Authority has been awarded a $750,000 Public Television Grant to make broadband and other advanced communications infrastructure improvements in southern West Virginia. Congress reauthorized the public television grant program in the 2014 Farm Bill, which Rahall strongly supported and worked to successfully pass earlier this year.

Rahall Announces Community Development Block Grant Funding for Beckley

U.S. Rep. Nick Rahall (D-W.Va.) Friday announced the award of a $275,400 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) to help the City of Beckley pursue planned local improvements.
