Ensuring crop insurance remains decoupled from conservation programs is a top priority for our farmers and ranchers. This, along with other appropriate programs, will provide a safeguard for the future of farming across America.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today the U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill cosponsored by Congressman Kevin Cramer to require the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to base its regulations on scientific data that is public. The Secret Science Reform Act of 2014 requires the EPA to make publically available any scientific information it uses to propose, finalize, or disseminate regulations.

"I’m glad to hear the comment period has been extended so American’s voices can be heard, but no extra amount of time and input will improve this proposed rule to a point which will be acceptable," said Congressman Cramer. "Let's scrap this power grab and free our individuals and business people from at least some of the regulatory overreach and uncertainty this administration is so famous for."

BISMARCK, N.D. – Today the Office of Advocacy of the U.S. Small Business Administration stated the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Army Corps of Engineers have improperly certified the proposed Waters of the U.S. rule under the Regulatory Flexibility Act (RFA) and requests the agencies withdraw the rule. The RFA requires federal agencies to consider the impact proposed rules will have on small businesses. If such impacts are determined to be significant, agencies must take the impact into account and study less burdensome alternatives.
