Military Academy Nominations

Thank you for your interest in the U.S. Service Academies. Students interested in serving our country through the Armed Forces and attending a Service Academy must have a nomination from an authorized nominating source. As a Member of Congress, I am authorized to nominate candidates who reside within Tennessee's 8th Congressional District. U.S. Senators, the President, the Vice President and the Service Branch Secretaries are also authorized nominating sources.

Nomination applications for the Class of 2018 (entering the U.S. Service Academies in summer 2015) will be accepted through Friday, November 21, 2014. I invite high school seniors, university students, and military personnel who are interested in applying for an academy nomination to contact Marianne Purcell at (901) 682-4422 or marianne.purcell@mail.house.gov.
