Below is the tentative legislative schedule for the House of Representatives for the week of November 17. The House will be in session Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Each week the House is in session the schedule is set by the Speaker of the House.

I am happy to announce that my office is now accepting applications for Military Academy Nominations.  The application process is open to all those ages 17 to 22 interested in attending any of the following military academies:

-The U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY

-The U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD

Fifty seven years ago, President Eisenhower signed the Civil Rights Act of 1957. This landmark legislation was designed to protect the voting rights of all Americans and was the first civil rights legislation enacted after Reconstruction. More legislation came in the years that followed; important protections of civil rights that were signed by President Kennedy and President Johnson.

My most important and rewarding duty in Congress is listening to my constituents and making sure your voices are heard in Washington. If you, a member of your family, or someone you know needs help solving a problem with a federal agency, please contact my office and we will do everything possible to find a solution in a timely manner.
