Whip Scalise Statement on Keystone’s Failure in the Senate

WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) released the following statement following the Senate’s failure to pass legislation to approve the Keystone XL Pipeline.

“The Senate’s failure to pass a bill approving the Keystone XL Pipeline is yet another example of Harry Reid’s do-nothing Senate when faced with common-sense, bipartisan job-creating legislation,” Rep. Scalise said. “Once again, Senator Reid put politics first and American jobs last.

”I commend Congressman Bill Cassidy on his strong leadership in passing the Keystone bill in the House. We will fight and win this battle in the new Senate next year.”
