#TBT: Republican Presidents Advocate for Comprehensive Immigration Reform

Today, House Republicans cemented themselves as the ‘traumatizing,’ mean-spirited, anti-immigrant Party of massive deportations – failing to act on bipartisan comprehensive immigration reform that passed the Senate over 520 days ago, deliberately ignoring the calls of prominent organizations, and voting, once more, to deport DREAMers, families and all of the undocumented immigrants from the country they love and call home.

House GOP Leaders: Blind to Facts on Immigration

Unfortunately, Speaker Boehner and Tea Party Members are ignoring the fact that the President’s move is overwhelmingly supported by nearly 70 percent of Americans, declared lawful by more than 130 legal scholars, applauded by U.S. Bishops, and strongly welcomed by editorials, mayors, and organizations across the country.

Et tu CRomnibus?

Apparently, then-Minority Leader John Boehner coined the phrase “CRomnibus” in January 2007 attacking a Democratic spending proposal:
