Rogers, Ruppersberger Applaud Senate Intelligence Committee Progress on Cybersecurity Information Sharing Bill

Washington— House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers and Ranking Member C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger today issued the following statement on the forward movement in the U.S. Senate on cybersecurity information sharing legislation:

“We applaud the work the Senate Intelligence Committee has done to move this vital legislation forward. We urge their Senate colleagues to work with them to get this bill passed through the Senate. Private hackers and countries like China, Russia and Iran pose a serious threat to American companies, networks and critical infrastructure. The House has already passed its cyber security legislation, and Congress as a whole must act to give these companies the help they need to defend their networks and our economic prosperity.”
