Van Hollen Applauds White House Stance on Tax Extenders

Nov 25, 2014

Washington, DC – Today Maryland Congressman Chris Van Hollen, Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, issued the following statement on the comments that the President would strongly oppose a package of corporate tax cut extenders that fails to extend tax relief for working families:

“I applaud the Administration for making clear that any deal to extend the so-called ‘tax extenders’ must be fiscally responsible and extend tax relief for working families. There are those who would like to provide a permanent boon to large corporations while doing nothing for those trying to make ends meet. That kind of deal is simply unacceptable. We need to be focused on making sure our economy works for every American.”
