Visiting Washington, D.C.
The Congressman is pleased to help residents of Maryland’s Third Congressional District plan a memorable and enriching visit to our nation’s capital. If you are considering taking a trip to Washington, D.C. and you live in Maryland’s Third Congressional District, please contact Congressman Sarbanes’ Washington, D.C. office for assistance at (202) 225-4016.
The D.C. office may be able to help you obtain tickets to many of Washington’s most popular attractions and historical landmarks, including the White House, the National Archives and the Pentagon. The Congressman’s office can also schedule tours of the U.S. Capitol and provide passes to the House and Senate Galleries.
It is important to note that tour hours and ticket availabilities vary throughout the year, so please contact Congressman Sarbanes’ D.C. office at least 8-12 weeks in advance of your trip. Also, please be aware that due to the high volume of ticket and tour requests that are received, the Congressman’s office is not able to guarantee the approval of your request.
Please submit the following information to assist the Congressman’s in processing your request. A staff member will follow-up with you shortly.
White House Tickets
Groups are eligible to receive only two tours per calendar year. Specifically, the requesting entity or group contact is limited to two tours (i.e., a professor may request one tour for his/her spring semester students and one for his/her fall semester students in one calendar year). For groups that are part of a larger organization (e.g. a scout troop), please note that it is the particular group that is limited to two tours a year and not the national entity. By limiting the number of tours per year, the White House hopes to provide a fair opportunity for all requests and to grant tours to a broad spectrum of groups.
