On Wednesday, July 30, 2014, Democratic members of the Financial Services Committee took to the floor of the House of Representatives to speak about the importance of the Export-Import Bank, the need to renew its charter, and the outpouring of support from businesses across the country for the continuation of the Bank.
As Financial Services Committee Democrats continue to press for the renewal of the Export-Import Bank’s charter, a wide array of small businesses, prominent Republicans, labor groups, national organizations, and manufacturing and business advocates have spoken out in strong support of the effort.
In letters to Republican leadership, they have explained how they, or those they represent, rely on the Ex-Im Bank to sustain jobs, stimulate economic growth and keep their American Businesses competitive.
